Our direct-drive goniometric nanopositioners are designated the ANT-20G series. These goniometers offer 0.05 arc-second resolution, 0.03 arc-second in-position stability and ±6 arc-second accuracy. Travel is up to 20° with a maximum speed of 150° per second. They are designed to be equally at home in the laboratory or 24/7 manufacturing environment. The goniometric cradles can be mounted orthogonally to provide pitch and roll about the same point in space. Excellent in-position stability, assisted by high-quality, anti-creep crossed-roller bearings, enables virtually maintenance-free operation over the life of the product. Aerotech’s direct-drive technology has no hysteresis or backlash, enabling accurate and repeatable motion. Our worm-gear-driven goniometers (AGC Series) are used where 90 degrees of angular travel is needed with the payload at the center of rotation, or where two axes of rotation are needed about a common point. AGC goniometers are designed to be mounted to standard optical tables, as well as standard Aerotech rotary stages, to provide roll, pitch and yaw about a common 3-axis intersection. This flexible stage series is ideal for optical alignment, payload tip/tilt, beam steering, sensor calibration, laser applications, automated manufacturing and/or testing and multi-axis diffractometer systems. Aerotech goniometers are offered as stand-alone units or as part of a complete positioning package that includes Aerotech’s own controls and drives.
